🇨🇳Government Agency, China
The Ministry of Aerospace Industry (中华人民共和国航天工业部, MASI) was a Chinese state ministry that existed between 1960 and 1993. It was the governing body for China's space activities, from the manufacture to the operation of launch vehicles. The Ministry was originally called the "Seventh Ministry", then renamed the "Ministry of Aeronautics Industry" in 1981, only to be reorganised and renamed again in 1988 to its final name, without any impact on the organisation of the country's space activities. The Ministry was dissolved in 1993 to be replaced by the CAC (China Aerospace Corporation), which was itself dissolved in 1999 to create the current CASC and CASIC.
