The TIMED (Thermosphere Ionosphere Mesosphere Energetics and Dynamics) is an orbiter mission dedicated to studying the dynamics of the Mesosphere and Lower Thermosphere (MLT) portion of the Earth's atmosphere. Built by the Applied Physics Laboratory.
