Launched on September 6, 2004, Ofek 6 was Ofek 5's twin. The two satellites weighed the same at 300 kg. Due to a launch error, the satellite failed to reach orbit and fell into the Mediterranean Sea. Ofeq 6 has been equipped with long-range cameras outfitted with sophisticated night vision capabilities.
