Rasad 1 is an experimental Earth observation nano-satellite with a mass of 15 kilograms and is shaped like an octagonal prism. It is stabilized by gravity gradient thanks to a boom deployed in orbit. It is powered by solar cells that cover the body of the satellite. Its main instrument is a camera providing images with a spatial resolution of 150 meters. The satellite is designed for a life of 60 days.
