China's geostationary meteorological satellite program FY-4 (Feng Yun 4) is the second generation of Chinese geostationary meteorological satellites. These satellites will replace the earlier FY-2 series. FY-4 is a three-axis-stabilized spacecraft based on the SAST-5000 bus. Two satellites will be positioned at 86.5°E and 105°E. A third position at 123.5°E is also under consideration.
