SROSS-B carried two instruments; a West German Monocular Electro Optical Stereo Scanner (MEOSS) and ISRO's 20-3000keV Gamma-ray Burst Experiment (GRB). The satellite body was three-axis stabilized with momentum wheels and magnetic torquers. A Hydrazine-based monopropellant reaction control system was also fitted. Power was to be provided by body-mounted solar cells and eight deployable fixed solar arrays.
