First flight of the Persey upper stage. Last of the three demonstration flights planned. Upper stage failed to restart for 2nd burn leaving upper stage & payload in LEO.
The MGM n°3 is a vehicle evaluation payload for the third launch of Angara A5, representing a mass model of a geostationary satellite. The dummy payload will be placed into a near geostationary orbit by the new Persey upper stage. After some hours, two burns of the Persey stage's auxiliary engines will move MGM to a graveyard orbit a few hundred km above GEO.
