Launch Notes

SN9 failed to reignite one of its engines for its landing burn and failed to land.

10-Kilometer Test Flight

SpaceX conducted a suborbital test flight of the Starship SN9 prototype to an altitude of approximately 10 kilometers. SN9 attempted a propulsive landing on SpaceX's South Texas Landing Zone after launch but due to an anomaly with engine 2's oxidizer-rich preburner, only one engine was able to reignite and SN9 crashed into the landing pad.
