ProtoStar 2

Wiki

In 2007, ProtoStar ordered the ProtoStar 2 satellite from Boeing Satellite Systems (BSS), Inc. The satellite uses an already existing Boeing BSS-601HP or "high power" version of the body-stabilized spacecraft. The spacecraft was originally built as Galaxy 8iR, which was cancelled in 2004. For use as ProtoStar 2, the payload was modified to contain 10 S-band transponders, which will act as a replacement for the Indostar 1 satellite. The S-band payload is operated under the name of Indostar 2 (Cakrawarta 2).
