Yamal 401
Yamal 401 is a Russian communications satellite built by ISS Reshetnev for Gazprom Space Systems.
In 2010 Gazprom Space Systems replaced the contract with Thales Alenia Space to provide the Yamal-401 satellite with a contract with ISS Reshetnev to build the Yamal 401 satellite. Thales Alenia Space provided the communications payload. The satellite was launched by a Proton-M Briz-M rocket directly into GEO.
Yamal-400 satellites have a guaranteed lifetime of 15 years. Yamal-401 will be placed at a 90° E orbital slot and is equipped with 36 Ku-band and 17 C-band transponders providing the coverage zone over the whole Russian and CIS territory.
