Nimbus 6 (also called Nimbus G) was a meteorological satellite. It was the sixth in a series of the Nimbus program. The satellite contained 9 instruments: 1) Earth Radiation Budget (ERB) 2) Electrically Scanning Microwave Radiometer (ESMR) 3) High-Resolution Infrared Radiation Sounder (HIRS) 4) Limb Radiance Inversion Radiometer (LRIR) 5) Pressure Modulated Radiometer (PMR) 6) Scanning Microwave Spectrometer (SCAMS) 7) Temperature-Humidity Infrared Radiometer (THIR) 8) Tracking and Data Relay Experiment (T+DRE) 9) Tropical Wind Energy Conversion and Reference Level Experiment (TWERLE)
