Mission Details

Artemis IV

Artemis IV will see 4 crew members launching to the Lunar Gateway for an extended stay, as well as the second lunar landing of the Artemis program. This landing is part of the cooperation between NASA and the commercial sector seeking exploration opportunities on the surface of the Moon, and will utilize Starship HLS as the landing vehicle. ESA's contribution to Gateway, I-HAB, will also be launched on this mission as a co-manifest payload. After completion of the TLI burn, Orion will separate from the Exploration Upper Stage and reorient itself. Then, similar to Apollo, it will maneuver back and dock with I-HAB. Both will then continue to the moon and dock with the Lunar Gateway.
