Mission Details

NS-20

Marty Allen, Sharon and Marc Hagle, Jim Kitchen, Dr. George Nield, and Gary Lai flew aboard New Shepard. Gary Lai was the Senior Director and Chief Architect of the New Shepard launch system, and one of Blue Origin's 20 founding employees. He was invited as a guest and did not pay for the flight.

After the powered phase performed by the booster, the crew experienced roughly three minutes of weightlessness before the capsule began to reenter the atmosphere. Once in low atmosphere, the capsule deployed parachutes and landed softly in the Texas desert.
