Starship Flight 7

Launch Time
Thu Jan 16, 2025 22:37 UTC

Seventh flight of Starship and Super Heavy and the first with a Block 2 Ship.

While this mission will be the first flight of a Block 2 Starship vehicle, the Super Heavy booster is still a Block 1 vehicle and this will be the case until a Block 2 Super Heavy vehicle is produced and assigned for a flight. One of the Raptor engines on Booster 14 was previously launched on Starship Flight 5.

The flight profile will be similar to the one flown on Flight 6.

Mission Details

Starlink Simulators

Ship 33 will deploy 10 Starlink simulators, similar in size and weight to next-generation Starlink satellites as the first exercise of a satellite deploy mission. The Starlink simulators will be on the same suborbital trajectory as Starship, with splashdown targeted in the Indian Ocean. A relight of a single Raptor engine while in space is also planned.
