The KPS 1 satellite is Korea's first navigation satellite and will perform missions in the Inclined Geosynchronous Orbit (IGSO). The National Aerospace Administration plans to complete the construction of KPS by 2035 by launching a total of eight satellites. Five of the eight KPS satellites will perform their missions in inclined geosynchronous orbits, while the remaining three satellites will operate in geostationary orbit.
