Launch Notes

One of the nine Merlin 1C engines failed during first stage flight. While the primary CRS-1 mission was still executed successfully, NASA declined to allow a second burn of the upper stage due to the ISS visiting vehicle safety rules. As a result, the secondary OG2 mission was a failure.

Orbcomm OG-2

Wiki

An Orbcomm rideshare satellite was included onboard this flight, however, it was not given a chance to be deployed due to an issue with Falcon 9 on ascent. It fell back and was destroyed with Falcon’s 2nd stage.
