The Aolong 1 payload was developed by CALT. Reportedly it is to demonstrate the removal of a simulated space debris object by capturing the object and then bringing it to a re-entry trajectory to be burned up in the Earth's atmosphere.

Tiange Feixingqi 1 and 2 are a pair of small satellites. The likely purpose is the demonstration of inter-satellite communication links. Tiange Feixingqi 1 reentered on August 2016, and Tiange Feixingqi 2 followed a day later.

Aoxiang Zhixing is developed by Shaanxi Engineering Laboratory for Microsatellites (SELM) of NPU. The prime mission of the satellite is to detect polarized sunlight and to measure gravity. It is the first 12U CubeSat to be launched.
