2nd stage engine failed to reach full thrust after slow response of main valves and failure in pressure increase of the liquid oxygen turbopump. Presence of vapor bubble at the LOX pump inlet is suspected.
First and only flight of Terran 1. First orbital attempt by a US liquid methane/liquid oxygen rocket.
This launch is also the first orbital launch attempt from LC-16, which has previously supported 141 suborbital ballistic missile launches.
