Mission Details

SpaceX Crew-2

SpaceX Crew-2 is the second operational crewed rotation mission of a Crew Dragon spacecraft to the International Space Station. NASA astronauts Shane Kimbrough and Megan McArthur will serve as spacecraft commander and pilot, respectively, for the mission. JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Akihiko Hoshide and ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut Thomas Pesquet will join as mission specialists.

On 07/21/2021 at 10:45 UTC it was undocked from port IDA-2 and docked to port IDA-3 of the Harmony module on the same day at 11:36 UTC. Its stay was 198 days and was undocked on 08/11/2021 at 19:05 UTC. It splashed down off the coast of Pensacola, Florida on 09/11/2021 at 03:33 UTC.
