dearMoon is the first private Starship mission to fly around the Moon for a week. This is a mission funded by Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa in which he and eight civilians from around the world who were chosen for their work in art, music, and outreach will travel. The identities of the eight other crew members were announced on 8 December 2022.

The nine-person crew is composed of the following:

- Choi Seung Hyun (TOP), Musician
- Yemi A.D., Multi-Disciplinary Creative

- Karim Iliya, Photographer
- Brendan Hall, Filmmaker
- Dev D. Joshi, Actor

There are also two backup crew members:
- Kaitlyn Farrington, Snowboarder
- Miyu, Dancer
