The Yaogan-31 satellites are Chinese military satellites, launched in triplets, similar to the American NOSS system. They are equipped with two solar panels each. This constellation is used for ELINT (Electronic Intelligence). The Yaogan-31 satellites are also followed on their orbit by the Yaogan-34 observation satellites, used to confirm or complete the observation made by the Yaogan-31 triplet.
