SN7.2 was a test tank design to test thinner 3mm stainless steel for future Starship prototypes. The tank performed two cryogenic proof tests to verify its capabilities.

Pressurize to Failure
The SN7.2 test tank was pressurized to failure to validate the new 3mm stainless steel construction methods. During the test, the tank performed well, developing a small leak rather than bursting.
